ONE WORLD GARDEN

As a founding member of the creative team I worked from research/conceptualization to design in the creation of a greenspace in Utica, NY. One World Garden will serve the public and honor the history of indigenous culture, immigration and resettled refugees from around the world.

My designs will be realized in the built environment as construction begins this year. Our team explored the social, historical and cultural needs of refugees, their stories and challenging journey to Utica.

We will express those experiences and support their daily transition by welcoming them into a safe and sacred space. We invite their participation as we plan creative and healing programming that encourages acceptance of diverse cultures at our One World Garden.

“We have woven a resilient community that has proven, caring yields growth, adding new fibers creates strength. Preserving our long-treasured heritage insures our longevity as quality is passed down from our ancestral families to a new generation.”
