Two Exhibits Debuting through November

Hello everyone,

I have two exhibits opening in Utica and Cooperstown November 2 – 25.

“Admired and Inspired”

Vincent Clemente, Patrick Fiore

…is an exhibit honoring Vincent Clemente, potter and former faculty at MWP Pratt. I met Vincent when I was 17 (he is my wife’s uncle). The exhibit represents how I sought to learn from Vincent, be in his presence, share creativity and document some moments of our lives and family through my work. The exhibit includes over 30 of Vincent’s pieces including early paintings.

The opening is Friday, 11/2 from 5:30 – 7:30 PM at The Other Side gallery, 2011 Genesee St.

Community Exhibition

Patrick Fiore and Halycon Westmaas, Mohawk Valley Resource Center for Refugees
Open to the public: November 2-25, 2018
Opening reception: November 8, 5:30-7:00 PM

I was invited to present my work reflecting the Refugee experience in America with selections from my “Significant Souls” project along with Halycon Westmass. Halycon describes her work…Specifically, this series is intended to represent the historical significance of buildings through the artist’s eye. I employ a semi-abstract cubist expressionist technique with the use of strong lines for this series. In essence, these paintings serve the additional function of memorializing the building heritage of Guyana.
