Innocence

For too many Americans, the road to peace and prosperity is littered with unjust obstacles. The illusion of the “American Dream” remains distant as war, poverty, political and corporate control rule the day. Racism, sexism, and power tip the scales, betraying the lie behind the propagandist platitudes of “boot strap” individualism.. Choices are often relegated to picking from the remnants left by those in authority. And yet significant change has most often come from our fellow citizens coming together to achieve extraordinary things.
